Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

Tab Trade - What It Is

Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background is relevant. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.

FIX API is there for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set when it lands.

Accounts and Pricing

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

The speed is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at a much wider range.

Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.

But. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does inform your assessment.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works is your call.
